Frequently Asked Questions

Do you sell Gift Cards?

Yes. We can sell you a gift card on-site, or you can call us with a your credit card info ready and we will mail your gift certificate to you. All gift certificates are good for one year from the date of purchase.

What days are you open?

We are open Wednesday through Sunday, year round, by Appointment Only, starting at 9am.
We are closed on:

  • Mondays & Tuesdays
  • Easter Sunday
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

During winter, we may not be able to throw targets due to weather or cold temperatures.  The target machines will often freeze up below about 20°F, and heavy snowfall or freezing rain can also be problems.

What are your hours?

9am to dusk. By appointment only!
You can begin shooting at 9 am. The Clubhouse opens at 8:45. We like to have the last group out on the course by 2pm; some flexibility can be arranged at the time of making your appointment.

How far in advance do I need to make my appointment?

The earlier the better. Remember that we have scheduled days for tournaments and will have other group events scheduled too.

Let us know what date and time is desired, and we will get back to you to let you know if that works with our schedule.

How many people are required in a group?

Two. One person to shoot and one person to act as the trapper/ scorekeeper. You are welcome to bring someone to do the trapping/ scorekeeping who doesn’t shoot.

Can I bring along my wife/children while I shoot?

Yes. They will need to sign a waiver, but they are certainly welcome. We’ve even had babies in strollers. Understand, however, that young children have ears that need extra protection!

How many people do you recommend in a squad?

An optimal squad would consist of 4-5 shooters. 1 person shooting; 1 person trapping; 1 person keeping score; 1 person getting ready to shoot. More people in the group just means more time out on the course.

Do you sell ammo?

Yes, as a courtesy. We do not have large amounts of ammo, but if you forget yours, or bring the wrong type, we can accommodate you.

Do you have restrooms?

Yes, we have full facilities at the clubhouse area, and an outhouse on the course.

How large a group of people can you handle?

We have had groups as large as 90 shooters in a single morning. More than that would require that you have a morning flight and an afternoon flight.

How much does it cost to use the Pavilion and BBQ?

There is no cost to use the Pavilion for any group that shoots the course. Please make sure that you request the use of the BBQ and Pavilion at the time of making your appointment so that we can reserve the space for you. You provide your own briquettes for the BBQ and you bring your own firewood if you want to use the fireplace.

How old does my child need to be to come out to shoot?

We recommend that your child be 85 pounds; this will assist in having enough upper body strength to handle the weight of the shotgun. Kids come in all sizes so we don’t put an age on this, but they should also be mature enough to understand that this is a serious sport.

We have the smallest and lightest youth gun made in our safe, and if that gun is too much for a child, we recommend that he/she comes back after growing some more to try it again. If the child is leaning backward to handle the weight of the gun, he/she is not ready.

Any gun restrictions?

Yes. This is a “shotgun only” range.
No hammer guns.
No single shot guns (everything come in pairs!)
No .410 shotguns for small kids.
No pistol grip shotguns (without stocks)
